Newcastle City Council (City Transport) are seeking a qualified MOT tester, time served motor vehicle technician to be appointed on a permanent contract.

City Transport have two test stations testing class 4, 5 & 7 vehicles, with one site conducting compliance and MOT testing of Licenced Taxis & Hackney carriages.

The successful candidate will join the dedicated team of testers at our modern MOT test station facility at Wincomblee road in Walker.

We are recruiting someone with the skills & experience to enable the effective & efficient testing to DVSA standards in a busy working environment. They will have served a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle engineering to NVQ level 3 or equivalent & hold a valid MOT tester qualification. A category B driving licence is essential with categories D1 & C LGV licence being advantageous.
