About the Role
As our Website and Digital Performance Manager, you’ll be accountable for shaping and delivering the digital roadmap, web strategy and performance across Newcastle Building Society, Manchester Building Society and Newcastle Financial Advisers. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering our digital strategy where you’ll own the end-to-end digital customer journey – from acquisition through to engagement and conversion – ensuring our websites deliver measurable commercial results and an outstanding member experience.
You’ll lead digital journey design, website optimisation and funnel conversion across member and broker journeys, using data and insight to continuously improve performance. Working closely with marketing, product, IT and external partners, you’ll oversee customer journey improvements, web development, SEO and the adoption of new technologies, including AI.
You’ll also be responsible for digital content and campaign delivery, ensuring all activity meets brand, legal and regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty. With line management responsibility, you’ll build and motivate a high-performing team while managing budgets, suppliers and agencies to deliver value, quality and efficiency.
About You
You’re an experienced digital leader with a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise and commercial acumen. You can translate business and brand objectives into effective digital strategies that deliver clear return on investment and improved customer outcomes.
- Extensive experience at management level in digital marketing, web and performance-led roles
- Strong technical knowledge across digital marketing channels, UX and journey design, SEO, Google Analytics, CMS platforms and conversion optimisation
- A highly analytical mindset, with the ability to turn insight and data into actionable improvements
- Proven success in driving digital acquisition, engagement and conversion, and improving website and SEO performance
- Experience working within a regulated or financial services environment, with a strong understanding of FCA, Consumer Duty and GDPR requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing at all levels and delivering cross-functional change
- Leadership capability, with the ability to build, develop and motivate teams to deliver against strategy
