Group Property manage all property assets throughout the Group, from our branch estate to Cobalt Head Office and other back‑office sites. As a Property Compliance Lead, you’ll report directly to the Group Property Services Manager and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant running of all technical building services across our portfolio.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for the management and delivery of maintenance operations, repair, and lifecycle management of assets. You’ll oversee technical infrastructure, statutory compliance, and contracted service providers – ensuring standards are met and value is achieved.
Working closely with the Group Property Services Manager you’ll support colleagues across the Group by providing expert technical advice, practical solutions, and innovative ways of working. You’ll build strong, credible relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and partners while ensuring safety, comfort and compliance remain at the heart of everything we do. The role will be primarily based at Cobalt, with regular travel to our branches and other sites.
You’ll bring extensive experience in maintenance and electrical building services, ideally as a Property Compliance Lead or in a similar role. You’ll also have a strong, practical understanding of all aspects of building services, including:
- Health & Safety procedures and statutory regulations
- L8, F Gas Regulations and Gas Safe requirements
- Managing service providers and conducting regular contract reviews
- Maintenance planning and lifecycle management
Alongside your technical expertise, you’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels. You’ll be customer‑focused, commercially aware, and highly organised, with strong IT and financial skills to match.
As a motivated leader, you’ll be comfortable working in a busy environment with changing priorities, while maintaining a calm, solutions‑focused approach. Above all, you’ll share our commitment to collaboration, accountability, and delivering an excellent service to our colleagues and communities. A full UK driving licence will be required for this role.
