People Systems and Data Lead

About the Role

We're looking for a People Systems and Data Lead to take ownership of our Workday platform and help shape the future of People technology across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Reward, Systems and Data, you'll lead a small specialist team while acting as the People function's Workday expert. With Workday implemented less than two years ago, you'll play a key role in driving adoption, continuous improvement and future development, ensuring we maximise the value of our investment. Working closely with People, IT, Finance, Workday and our AMS partner, Kainos, you'll lead the Workday roadmap, oversee system enhancements and help create more connected processes, data and user experiences across the business. You'll also be responsible for developing our people data and reporting capability, ensuring leaders have access to high-quality insights that support effective decision-making. This is an opportunity to influence both strategy and delivery, leading the evolution of Workday while ensuring the platform continues to meet the needs of a growing and ambitious organisation.

About You

You’ll have significant hands‑on experience with Workday HCM and a proven track record of leading Workday development within a complex organisation. You'll understand how to balance business requirements, user experience and technical capability to deliver practical solutions and continuous improvement. You'll bring people management experience and enjoy leading, coaching and developing others, creating a collaborative and high‑performing environment where individuals can thrive. You'll be an excellent relationship builder, comfortable working across People, IT and Finance teams, managing third‑party suppliers and engaging stakeholders at all levels. You'll use your expertise to influence decisions, solve problems and identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes and data. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about getting the best from Workday, using technology and insight to improve colleague experience, support business goals and help shape the future of our People systems capability.
