About the Role
As a Financial Crime MI & Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening the organisation’s ability to monitor and respond to financial crime risk through high-quality data and insight. You will take ownership of the end-to-end MI lifecycle, delivering accurate, timely, and scalable reporting packs and dashboards. Using SQL, you will work with large and complex datasets to produce actionable insights, while developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards to improve accessibility and reduce reliance on manual processes.
You will be responsible for identifying trends, anomalies, and emerging risks within customer and transactional data, supporting effective decision-making and risk management. In addition, you will contribute to regulatory reporting, ensure data quality and integrity, and drive continuous improvement through automation and enhanced analytics capability, including the use of Python where appropriate.
About You
You are an experienced MI or Data Analyst with a strong track record of owning and delivering high-quality reporting outputs. You have advanced SQL skills and are confident working with large, complex datasets to produce accurate, insight-driven MI at pace. You are comfortable managing recurring reporting cycles, maintaining data quality, and identifying trends, anomalies, or issues that require further investigation or escalation. You can balance strong attention to detail with the ability to step back and highlight what matters most.
You have hands-on experience with Power BI (or similar visualisation tools), building and maintaining dashboards used in regular business reporting. You are confident translating data into clear, meaningful insights for stakeholders at all levels. You bring a proactive approach to improving and automating reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency. Experience with Python, financial crime, or working in a regulated environment is beneficial but not essential.
