Financial Close Accountant – 6 Month Fixed Term

Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a successful month end financial close under the supervision of the Financial Close Manager.
- Prepare and analyse reconciliations, consolidations and other key financial close activities, delivering timely and insightful information to stakeholders, notably the senior finance leadership team.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to capture month end close requirements, and partner with Group Finance and the wider business to gain line of sight on business performance.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for the Group.
- Lead Finance Operations representation with internal and external audit teams, acting as a conduit for requests and resolving outstanding actions across the team.
- Support the Financial Close Manager in supervising and developing the Groups Financial Close team (no direct line management responsibilities).
Qualifications
- You’ll be a qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant, actively finalising a qualification, or have commensurate experience.
- Strong financial accounting experience including preparation of financial statements and month-end close processes.
- Experience with internal and external audit support and Group consolidations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyse complex financial information and identify trends and issues.
