We are looking for a creative, proactive and detail-oriented Creative Designer to develop high-quality visual assets that support our marketing and branding initiatives. This role requires strong conceptual thinking, the ability to independently manage design projects while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders. This role plays a key role in shaping the visual identity of the institution and ensures brand consistency across digital and print media.

Visual Creation and Design Execution

  • Independently lead end-to-end design execution based on creative briefs, from concept ideation and visual development to final production and delivery.
  • Interpret briefs by researching, gathering relevant information, and translating requirements into clear, effective, and visually engaging design solutions.
  • Design and adapt creative assets for marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to brochures, banners, social media graphics, website visuals, advertisements, and event collaterals.

Brand Identity and Consistency

  • Be the brand guardian for the institution and work alongside the Marketing Manager to ensure brand consistency across all design projects, promotional materials and merchandise, adhering to the University's visual identity and branding guidelines.

Event Coverage & Photography

  • Support institutional events by covering on-site photography and providing timely photo assets for marketing and communication purposes.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Academic and Professional teams, to produce visuals that support their initiatives and enhance brand storytelling.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external vendors, including advertising agencies, printers, merchandise providers, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.

Project & Timeline Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.

Creative Improvement & Initiative

  • Take initiative to continuously improve creative quality, visual effectiveness, and design processes.
  • Stay updated on design trends and emerging technologies to enhance the institution's branding and marketing efforts.
  • Monitor competitor's activities and programs to establish differentiation for the institution.

Selection Criteria

  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • More than 3 years of creative design experience.
  • Proficient in using creative software and AI tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva) to optimise design is necessary for the role. Use of MS Office and PPT is required for administrative tasks.
  • Photography experience, including event coverage and photo editing.
  • A strong command of the English language – both written and spoken – with good user design experience in headline copywriting is key.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with teams.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Interest and knowledge in video and music editing/production, with use of Premiere Pro is an advantage.
  • A design portfolio of print work, digital design, HTML pre-tagged stationary/template must be submitted.
