We are looking for a teacher for A Level Computing within our Academic Studies Department. Based in our Academic Studies Department, we are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual to lead on and teach on our A-level Computing courses. As well as being an inspiring teacher with the ability to enable all learners to reach their true potential, you will hold an appropriate subject qualification to degree level along with a Level 5 teaching qualification such as the Diploma in Education and Training (formerly DTLLS) or equivalent.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that is responsive to learner needs and future developments within Computing education.
  • Deliver excellent standards of teaching and learning across the curriculum area.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the continued success of the department.
  • Support students to achieve excellent academic outcomes and progression opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Holds a degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Holds an appropriate teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent) or is willing to work towards one.
  • Has experience of teaching A Level Computing in a post-16 setting.
  • Is an outstanding and innovative teacher who achieves excellent learner outcomes.
  • Has strong organisational and communication skills.
