Job Responsibilities
- Teach and assess courses including Level 2 BTEC in CPLD, BTEC Extended Diploma in CPLD, and the T-Level in Childcare and Education.
- Play an active role in marketing the college and department through activities such as open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
- Prepare, mark and monitor student progress; prepare reports; set and mark examination papers.
- Develop and prepare flexible learning materials.
Qualifications and Experience
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated team player with relevant industrial experience.
- Qualified with an Early Years related degree or equivalent, or willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification (DTLLS or equivalent).
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTLLS) or willingness to obtain.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Maintained professional updating within the early years sector.
- Ideally has relevant teaching experience within the FE sector.
- Well organised and able to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
- Effective communication with students and peers.
