This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisation skills to take on this role in the Finance department. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance and working alongside a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the Finance Office and the financial systems. Duties are varied and include co-ordinating and administering the cash collection process, preparing the daily banking and all associated recording (including paying-in slips and input journals) to support the bank reconciliation process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To be an active and contributing member of a busy and innovative Finance team
- To reconcile cash, smartcards and pdq payments
- To prepare the daily banking and all associated records
- To ensure that cash is deposited promptly to ensuring that no unnecessary cash is held on site
- To administer the petty cash process, monitoring cash floats and ensuring that all cash handling procedures are adhered to.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Has previous experience of working in a finance environment and of cash handling
- Works with accuracy and pays attention to detail
- Has the ability to organise own workload and to work to tight deadlines
- Has excellent communication skills
