Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • To deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard on a range of programmes as appropriate.
  • To secure outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, attendance, and progression are met.
  • Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, and developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
  • To act as a course tutor to a group of students and undertake the duties associated with this pastoral role.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Has a relevant degree in Engineering and equivalent higher technical expertise in this field (Civil Engineering).
  • Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standards.
  • Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
