Lecturer: A Level Computing – Part Time Fixed Term
Salary: £32,136 – £42,848 pro rata (£16,068 – £21,424 actual)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified teacher to lead and teach our A Level Computing courses in the Academic Studies Department. Candidates should be capable of inspiring all learners and hold a degree‑level subject qualification together with a Level 5 teaching qualification such as the Diploma in Education and Training (formerly DTLLS) or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that responds to learner needs and future developments within computing education.
- Provide excellent standards of teaching and learning across the curriculum area.
- Contribute to curriculum development and support the continued success of the department.
- Support students to achieve excellent academic outcomes and progression opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Holds a degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Holds an appropriate teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent) or is willing to work towards one.
- Has experience of teaching A Level Computing in a post‑16 setting.
- Is an outstanding and innovative teacher who achieves excellent learner outcomes.
- Has strong organisational and communication skills.
