Location: Stafford College

Salary: £25,322 pro rata (£7,186 actual) per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual with excellent communication and organisation skills to take on this role in the Finance department. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance and working alongside a multi-disciplined team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day‑to‑day running of the Finance Office and the financial systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Active and contributing member of a busy and innovative Finance team
  • Reconcile cash, smartcards and PDQ payments
  • Prepare the daily banking and all associated records
  • Ensure that cash is deposited promptly, avoiding unnecessary cash on site
  • Administer the petty cash process, monitoring cash floats and ensuring all cash handling procedures are adhered to

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a finance environment and cash handling
  • Works with accuracy and pays attention to detail
  • Ability to organise own workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
