Competitive Salary + Benefits 30 racedays per year, plus a wide range of other exciting non-racing events including: concerts, weddings, conferences, on-site hotel and our award-winning Rocking Horse Nursery. As part of our ambitious on-going development plan, we are now seeking a pro-active Business Development Manager to join our Sales team. This is a new role for the business and as such requires a candidate with creativity and excellent collaboration and communication skills. The role will represent four key revenue areas of the business: Corporate Hospitality, Conference and Events, The Lodge (Hotel) and Sponsorship. The successful candidate will seek to build long-term client relationships which enable customers to access all our business service opportunities via a single point of relationship management. Proactively represent the entire Newbury Racecourse business to existing and potential clients Create, manage and develop relationships with key individuals, corporates and booking agents to maximise the delivery of profitable business Work alongside the Head of Sales to manage key accounts to achieve year on year retention & growth Prepare detailed and accurate proposals and contract documents confirming the completion of account management and new business activity against agreed targets Assist in building and enhancing long term client relationships, increasing client retention and referrals and building new business across all applicable business services In return we offer a competitive salary and attractive benefits scheme including; ~25 days holiday per year + Bank Holidays + days in lieu for weekend racedays worked ~ Reduced rate childcare at the Rocking Horse Nursery on-site ~ Contributory pension scheme matched up to 5% ~ Private healthcare scheme ~ Life assurance scheme ~ Discounted Health Club membership ~ Excellent opportunities for training and career growth.
