A Dorset based food manufacturing company is looking to recruit a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer for their production facility based in the Poole / Bournemouth area. As a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a small team of shift engineers to provide engineering support to the production area and who are responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems. The site is part of a group of sites/businesses across the UK who are on a significant path for growth and development, and opportunities to progress are very real.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
- Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
- Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
- Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
- Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
- Multi skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills / experience
- Apprenticeship trained
- Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
- Manufacturing / production experience required

- Multi skilled, either electrically or mechanically biased will be considered
- Panama shifts β Days and Nights (12 hour) 5.15 β 17.15 and 17.15 β 5.15
