Are you an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer ready for your next challenge within a fast-paced manufacturing site?
This specialist manufacturer is seeking multi-skilled maintenance engineers who are qualified to work on electrical faults, prepared to support mechanical engineers, and who also have a continuous improvement mindset to work with the leadership team as they drive forward to become a world-class engineering environment.
This role as a maintenance engineer will keep you busy and give you a real sense of achievement as the site progresses in its journey to be best in class.
You will work as part of a maintenance engineering team to support 24/7 production, maintaining and repairing plant, equipment, and buildings while striving to meet company objectives in terms of safety, efficiency, and utilization of production equipment.
Money and working hours:
- Salary of £39-40K plus £9k shift allowance
- Panama shift pattern working 12 hours days and nights
- 2 weeks working 7am to 7pm
- 2 weeks working 7pm to 7am

Key responsibilities of multi-skilled maintenance engineer:
- Electrical and Mechanical breakdown repairs across the site.
- Maintaining high safety standards at all times.
- Implementing planned maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of production plant.
- Delivering cost-effective and reliable maintenance of all site utility services.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing continuous improvements and any energy-saving initiatives to the plant.
- Maintaining appropriate systems, checks, procedures, records, and tests to meet site requirements.
- Assisting in management of spare parts stock level availability.
- Working with production and technical areas to assist in troubleshooting processing problems.
- Assisting with the training and instruction of operatives.
- Working on CI projects as required.
- A flexible approach to work, e.g., the ability to alter working shift pattern will be required from time to time in order to meet the needs of the business & holiday cover.
Experience and skills required of Maintenance Engineer:
- Fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
- Electrical qualifications.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience of fault finding and repair plus installation work.
