A Nottingham based food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer working on perm NIGHTS for their modern production facility based in South Nottingham.

As a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will provide engineering support to the production area and be responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.

Role:

  • Multi-skilled; will consider electrical or mechanical biased engineers
  • 3 on 3 off – Nights only (12 hour shifts) (6-6)
  • Opportunity to work in a modern manufacturer

Salary: c£55k

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimized
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure good repair/manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents/CMMS
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G’s or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC/HNC level
  • Multi-skilled, mechanical and electrical skills/experience
  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Manufacturing/production experience required
