Newbury Manor School is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting pupils with their work, supporting pupil behaviour, establishing good relationships with students, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs across all key stages.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons.
  • Support pupils with their work and learning activities.
  • Help manage pupil behaviour and promote a positive classroom environment.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, acting as a supportive role model.
  • Respond to the individual needs of each pupil and promote inclusivity.

Qualifications and experience

  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo safeguarding screening and DBS checks.
  • At least two references covering the last three years, preferably from experience working with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrated values, transferable skills and relevant life experience required for the role.
