Role Overview
The Forest School Lead will design, plan, and deliver outdoor learning sessions that develop gardening, camping, sustainability and life-skills for our SEN/ASD students. The role supports the wider curriculum, promotes inclusivity, and contributes to the school’s culture of independence and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the school’s vision, aims and ethos.
- Plan, deliver and assess day-to-day forest school sessions with support from the Assistant Head Teacher (PD Lead).
- Engage with the wider community and collaborate across departments for whole-school events.
- Advocate a culture of inclusion, valuing diversity and supporting all views.
- Safeguard children and young people, complying with the safeguarding policy and all other school policies.
- Maintain accurate records for external qualifications, assessments and planning cycles.
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance during all activities.
