We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our growing PCB manufacturing team in Newbury. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining the highest quality standards across all stages of production. We are ideally looking for candidates with proven PCB inspection experience. However, we are also open to training a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and the right attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect bare PCBs to ensure compliance with customer and industry specifications
  • Operate AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout all stages of production
  • Identify, report, and support investigation of quality issues and trends
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
  • Assist within the test laboratory, including chemical process testing
  • Carry out micro-sectioning, analysis, and fault finding
  • Ensure compliance with IPC and ISO quality standards

Requirements:

  • Essential:
  • Experience in PCB manufacturing or inspection
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (particularly IPC-A-600)
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Reliable, conscientious, and team-oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Desirable (training can be provided):
  • AOI experience
  • IPC certification
  • Experience with micro-sectioning or laboratory testing

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Location: Newbury, RG14 2AD (Ability to reliably commute or relocate is required)
