Job Type: Permanent, Part Time (30 hours per week)

Newbury & District is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Night Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller to join our Operations team. Based out of our Greenham & Mill Lane depots, you will be a vital part of the team ensuring our fleet is ready for service every single day. If you are motivated, proactive, and keen to take on a role that directly contributes to the success of our daily operations, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Your role will include:

  • Fuelling and topping up oil, AdBlue, and window washer fluid for buses on the fuel islands.
  • Checking exterior vehicle lights and replacing bulbs as necessary.
  • Cleaning vehicle exteriors using the wash machine or hand tools, and performing interior cleaning, including sweeping, dusting cab/dash areas, and removing litter.
  • Placing marketing materials, updating window bills, and removing graffiti.
  • Safely parking vehicles in designated spaces to ensure efficient morning run-outs.
  • Maintaining depot cleanliness, including clearing the yard and fuel island areas.
  • Carrying out deep or mini cleans as requested.

About you:

  • PCV licence or experience driving large vehicles is essential.
  • A proactive and motivated approach to operational tasks.

Working Hours: 30 hours per week, working any 5 days in 7 on a rota basis. Core hours are generally Mon-Fri, 18:00-00:00, and 1 Saturday in 3, 16:00-22:00 (subject to change).
