Salary: Starting at £12.98, increasing to £15 - £17 depending on days worked

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time or Part Time

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-friendly people looking to start their career as a driver to join Newbury & District, part of the award-winning Reading Buses family. There is great flexibility to tailor hours, ranging from fixed rostered hours or flexible hours through to part-time hours during school term-time. Based out of our Greenham depot, Newbury & District has been synonymous with public transport in West Berkshire since 1932. We are proud to provide the very highest levels of service with modern buses and a small team of friendly drivers.

As a Newbury & District bus driver, you will be delivering the highest standards of customer service, safety, and comfort for your passengers.

About you:

  • A valid, clean car driving licence
  • Previous experience in bus or coach driving preferred but not necessary as training will be given
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Possess a can-do attitude
  • Successful candidates may need to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate of £12.98 during training and then upon passing £15.00 M-F, £17.00 Sat/Sun, public holidays.
  • Yearly salary of around £31,000
