Responsibilities

  • As a Foundation Learning Tutor, you will play a central role in planning, preparing and delivering a purposeful and aspirational curriculum for learners with profound to moderate learning disabilities and behavioural support needs.
  • Working with students from Pre‑Entry to Level 1, you will create learning experiences that build confidence, independence and essential skills.
  • You will collaborate closely with a committed team of tutors and support staff to ensure our programmes are engaging, inclusive and aligned with current SEN developments.
  • You’ll also take the lead on Education, Health and Care (EHC) reviews for your caseload, ensuring each learner’s journey is personalised, well‑supported and celebrated.

Qualifications

  • A related degree or qualification at least one level above what you will teach.
  • English and Maths at Level 2.
  • Experience teaching or supporting learners with profound to moderate learning difficulties and behavioural needs.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to differentiate effectively and work confidently with EHC Plans.
  • Has a positive, flexible and compassionate approach.
