As a Business & Management Development Coach, you'll support apprentices throughout their programme, helping them apply their learning to real workplace situations and progress confidently towards their Apprenticeship Standard. You'll design tailored training plans, deliver and assess learning, carry out workplace visits, and guide each apprentice right through to their End Point Assessment. You'll also work closely with employers to understand their needs, keep them updated on progress, and ensure every apprenticeship meets quality and compliance requirements. Reporting to the Head of Faculty for Apprenticeships, you'll play a key role in helping learners thrive and supporting the growth of our apprenticeship provision.
Responsibilities
- Support apprentices throughout their programme, applying learning to real workplace situations and progressing toward the Apprenticeship Standard.
- Design tailored training plans, deliver and assess learning, and carry out workplace visits.
- Guide each apprentice through to End Point Assessment.
- Collaborate with employers to understand needs, provide progress updates, and ensure quality and compliance across apprenticeships.
- Report to the Head of Faculty for Apprenticeships and contribute to the growth of the apprenticeship provision.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong professional knowledge of the field you're assessing, usually gained through at least two years of industry experience.
- Experience of training others on a 1:2:1 and small group basis.
- Assessor qualifications or willingness to work towards them.
- Desirable: A Degree, Higher Education qualification, or professional qualification.
- Desirable: Level 3 or above teaching qualification, IQA qualification, or Level 4 qualification or equivalent specific industry qualifications in the subject area.
