The predicted salary is between 23900 - 31600 Β£ per year.

Location: Rochdale area (must be a car driver and have use of a car for work purposes – learner drivers will be considered)

Salary: Β£27,950 per annum (due to be reviewed April 2026)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including evenings & weekends)

Start Date: March/April 2026 (flexible)

Contract: Internal and external applicants considered

Blue Pits Housing Action provides supported living accommodation, homecare and outreach support for adults with complex mental health needs. We support individuals with:

  • Personality disorders
  • Substance misuse experiences

  • Autism

About the Role

We are looking for a positive, flexible and autonomous Team Lead who is passionate about delivering high-quality social care and driving meaningful change. As Team Lead, you will:

  • Oversee safe, person-centred support for adults with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities and autistic people
  • Provide leadership, line management, mentoring and supervision to support colleagues
  • Model exemplary professional behaviour at all times
  • Contribute to a shared On-Call out-of-hours rota and respond to crisis situations when required
  • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of support plans, risk assessments, health action plans, incident records and electronic notes

Essential / Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of professional boundaries and ability to demonstrate them in practice
  • Digital skills – confident using MS Office, laptops and smartphones for electronic notes
  • Competence in designing risk assessments and support plans
  • Flexible approach – willing to work evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to undertake higher-level Health & Safety training relevant to the role
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle – desirable
