Neway International are seeking a Team Manager - MASH / Referral & Assessment / Child Protection / Family Protection (TM1) to join our client based with the London Borough of Bexley. The Team Manager will provide operational leadership and oversight across MASH, R&A, CP, and Family Protection pathways. You will manage a team of Social Workers, oversee complex casework, ensure statutory compliance, and drive high-quality safeguarding practice. This role requires a confident, experienced leader capable of working at pace, supporting staff, and ensuring robust decision-making in a demanding frontline environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Social Workers across MASH/R&A/CP/FP services.
- Oversee complex and high-risk cases, ensuring timely progression and effective safeguarding practice.
- Provide professional supervision, guidance, and performance management.
- Ensure high-quality assessments, decision-making, and care planning.
- Support multi-agency collaboration and information-sharing.
- Quality-assure reports, assessments, and case records.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, local policies, and national safeguarding standards.
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England.
- Significant experience in frontline safeguarding across MASH, R&A, CP, or Family Protection.
- Proven leadership or management experience within Children\'s Social Care.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and risk-management skills.
- Excellent communication and the ability to support, motivate, and develop staff.
- Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment.

Hours: 36 per week
Rate:
- PAYE: £32.84 per hour
- Limited/Umbrella: £44.77 per hour
Work Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days remote and 3 days in the office
