Neway International are seeking a CSW - Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner to join our client Barnet Council. This position sits within the Long-Term Intervention & Planning Team, supporting children and families through CIN, CP, and court proceedings. The successful candidate will bring strong assessment skills, confident decision-making, and the ability to manage complex caseloads within statutory timescales. This is a hybrid role, with approximately two days per week in the office alongside family visits.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload involving CIN, CP, and court work.
- Undertake high-quality assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and families.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for statutory meetings and court proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding.
- Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with legislative and local requirements.
- Contribute to team development and uphold best practice standards across the service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Minimum three years' experience in a permanent statutory social work role.
- Strong background in CIN, CP, and court work.
- Confident in managing complex cases and working within statutory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work flexibly within a hybrid model and start at short notice.
