Caretaker / Janitor in City of Westminster

The Caretaker / Janitor will provide essential site support, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard. The role involves working to a pro-roster across multiple hub sites, with full-time hours until 5th December 2025, reducing to three days per week thereafter until 19th December 2025. Weekly rosters will be confirmed each Tuesday.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general caretaking and janitorial duties across hub sites.
• Ensure buildings are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Support site operations including minor repairs, maintenance, and security checks.
• Liaise with staff and contractors to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide range of people.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable.
• GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics preferred.
• DBS clearance required.
