Neway International are seeking two Housing Managers to join our client, Sutton Housing Partnership.
Location: Carshalton Road, Sutton, SM1 4LE
Hours: 36 per week
Start date: 06 April 2026
Duration: 20 weeks (likely to be extended)
Employment type: Temporary
Rate: PAYE £148.10 per day / Umbrella £194.76 per day
Work pattern: Minimum 3 days on site, 2 days remote
About the Client: Sutton Housing Partnership manages council housing across the borough, delivering day‐to‐day landlord services to approximately 6,000 tenants and 1,500 leaseholders. The organisation is committed to supporting residents' wellbeing, financial resilience, and access to wider services, while ensuring consistent delivery of core housing management functions.
The Role: We are seeking experienced Housing Managers to provide holistic tenancy management across designated patches. The post holders will take ownership of resident concerns, ensuring issues are resolved in line with policy and procedure. This role requires strong experience in rent recovery, safeguarding, anti‐social behaviour case management, domestic abuse support, mutual exchanges and community engagement. Officers will work peripatetic, covering ad‐hoc duties across vacant patches and annual leave. This is a challenging and rewarding role requiring resilience, excellent customer service and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver resident priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver holistic tenancy management across allocated patches
- Manage rent recovery, arrears interventions and financial wellbeing support
- Lead on adult and child safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely escalation
- Manage ASB cases, supporting victims and taking enforcement action where required
- Support residents experiencing domestic abuse, working with partner agencies
- Process mutual exchanges and tenancy changes
- Promote inclusion and help build stronger, safer communities
- Maintain detailed, evidence‐based records with high accuracy
- Work assertively yet empathetically with residents facing complex or distressing issues
- Manage time effectively in a fast‐paced environment, prioritising workload
- Work independently and as part of a wider team with minimal supervision
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, welfare reform and tenancy management policies
- Use NEC (Northgate) housing system to record and manage casework
- Support organisational initiatives and continuous service improvement
- Attend meetings, estate inspections and community engagement activities
- Uphold equality, diversity and non‐discriminatory practice
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong experience in tenancy management within social housing
- Proven track record in rent recovery, ASB casework and safeguarding
- Experience supporting victims of domestic abuse
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work methodically, follow procedures and accurately record information
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident working with partner agencies and community stakeholders
- Ability to remain calm, assertive and empathetic in challenging situations
- Knowledge of NEC (Northgate) system (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to undertake DBS screening (role exempt under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974)
