Neway International are seeking a Team Manager – MASH / Referral & Assessment / Child Protection / Family Protection (TM1) to join our client based with the London Borough of Bexley.
Location: Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent, DA6 7AT
Hours: 36 per week
Rate: PAYE: £32.84 per hour, Limited/Umbrella: £44.77 per hour
Work Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days remote and 3 days in the office

The Role
The Team Manager will provide operational leadership and oversight across MASH, R&A, CP, and Family Protection pathways. You will manage a team of Social Workers, oversee complex casework, ensure statutory compliance, and drive high‑quality safeguarding practice. This role requires a confident, experienced leader capable of working at pace, supporting staff, and ensuring robust decision‑making in a demanding frontline environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Social Workers across MASH/R&A/CP/FP services.
- Oversee complex and high‑risk cases, ensuring timely progression and effective safeguarding practice.
- Provide professional supervision, guidance, and performance management.
- Ensure high‑quality assessments, decision‑making, and care planning.
- Support multi‑agency collaboration and information‑sharing.
- Quality‑assure reports, assessments, and case records.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, local policies, and national safeguarding standards.
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England.
- Significant experience in frontline safeguarding across MASH, R&A, CP, or Family Protection.
- Proven leadership or management experience within Children’s Social Care.
- Strong analytical, decision‑making, and risk‑management skills.
- Excellent communication and the ability to support, motivate, and develop staff.
- Confident working in a fast‑paced, multi‑agency environment.
