Overview

Neway International have a Job Opportunity for a Social Work Assistant (Grade 6) to join our client based with Cardiff Council.

Location: Llandough Hospital, Cardiff

Duration: 13 October 2025 – 12 January 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (37 hours/week)

Pay: £16.62 PAYE / £21.60 Umbrella

Cardiff Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Work Assistant to join the People & Communities Directorate at Llandough Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to support older adults with mental health needs in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified social workers in delivering care and support plans
  • Engage with service users, families, and professionals to promote wellbeing
