Neway are looking for a Service Engineer based in Vision Products with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. Location: Vision Products, Pontyclun; Category: Engineering & Surveying; Hours: 28 per week Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00; Rate: £13.47/hour PAYE | £17.64/hour Umbrella; Contract: starting asap, initially for a 3 month contract, likely to be extended.
Role Overview
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a skilled and reliable Service Engineer to join their Technology & Servicing team at Vision Products. This is a hands-on role focused on the testing, servicing, and repair of assistive technology equipment, ensuring high standards of safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair assistive technology equipment (fixed and portable)
- Use electrical and mechanical testing tools in line with training and manufacturer guidance
- Maintain accurate records of all tests, services, and repairs
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with health and safety procedures
- Liaise with the Technology & Servicing Manager to meet customer needs
- Support equipment storage, inventory, and quality control
- Deliver excellent customer service and uphold council values
What You’ll Need
- Knowledge of mobility and healthcare products
- Experience in diagnostic testing and servicing in a similar environment
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
