Neway International have a Job Opportunity for a Senior/Specialist Social Worker to join the Safeguarding & Care Planning team based with Bromley Council.
Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1AS
Employment Type: Temporary (13 Weeks)
Start Date: 10 November 2025
Hours: 36 per week
Rate: PAYE £27.82/hr | Ltd/Umbrella £36.65/hr
About the Role
Bromley Council is recruiting two experienced Senior or Specialist Social Workers to join the Safeguarding & Care Planning Service (West) for a one-off project. This team supports children and families following transfer from the Referral & Assessment Service, particularly when a child or young person becomes subject to a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact initiative focused on safeguarding vulnerable children and promoting positive outcomes for families.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex caseloads involving Child in Need and Child Protection Plans
- Undertake assessments, develop care plans, and lead safeguarding interventions
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and court proceedings
- Maintain accurate records and ensure statutory compliance
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Extensive experience in safeguarding and care planning within children’s services
- Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage risk and make sound decisions under pressure
- Commitment to child-centred practice and multi-agency collaboration
