Neway International are seeking a Placement Officer to join our client based with Bromley Council.

Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1AS

Hours: 36 per week

Start Date: 20 April 2026

Duration: Initially for a 6 month contract - likely to be extended

Rates:

  • PAYE: £19.01 per hour
  • Limited/Umbrella: £24.75 per hour

Work Pattern: Minimum 2 days per week in the office. Additional office presence required during training. Depending on service needs and length of assignment, work may also be required from PRUH or Orpington.

Role: The Placement Officer will manage referrals from both hospital and community settings, sourcing suitable domiciliary care agencies for Bromley residents. This is a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment requiring strong IT capability, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming referrals from hospital discharge teams and community services.
  • Source and secure domiciliary care placements in line with assessed needs.
  • Liaise with care providers to confirm availability, suitability, and start dates.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems promptly.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Adult Services to support safe and timely care arrangements.
  • Ensure all activity aligns with service standards, policies, and compliance requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced administrative or placement‑based environment.
  • Strong IT competence with the ability to navigate multiple systems confidently.
