Neway International are seeking a Personal Advisor to join our client based with London Borough of Haringey.

Location: 48 Station Road, Haringey

Hours: 36 per week

About the Client

Haringey Council’s Children’s Services team is committed to supporting young people as they transition into adulthood. The Leaving Care Service provides tailored, person‑centred support to care leavers, ensuring they have the guidance, stability and opportunities needed to achieve independence and positive long‑term outcomes.

The Role

The Personal Advisor will work directly with a diverse population of care leavers, offering practical, emotional and developmental support as they move into adulthood. You will help young people access education, employment, housing, health services and financial support, while building strong, trusting relationships that empower them to make informed decisions. The role involves partnership working with families, internal teams, and external agencies to ensure coordinated and effective support. This is a hybrid role, with office duty once every six weeks and additional office attendance at the manager’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality support to care leavers aged 16–25, helping them transition to independence
  • Develop and review Pathway Plans in partnership with young people
  • Offer guidance on education, training, employment, housing, health and financial matters
  • Build positive, professional relationships with young people and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with families, statutory services and third‑sector organisations
  • Support young people to understand their rights, responsibilities and entitlements
  • Manage a varied caseload and prioritise work effectively
  • Attend meetings, reviews and multi‑agency discussions as required

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role supporting young people or care leavers (Essential)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • GCSEs (A–C) in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification (Essential)
  • Enhanced DBS required
