Lambeth Council is seeking experienced Building Safety Managers to support the safety and compliance of higher‑risk residential buildings (HRBs). You will lead on building safety management, ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021 and all associated regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational building safety management across designated HRBs
- Develop and maintain Building Safety Cases and Case Reports
- Coordinate inspections, audits and safety reviews
- Work with internal teams to resolve safety actions
- Engage residents on building safety matters
- Liaise with the Building Safety Regulator and London Fire Brigade
- Support delivery of major fire and building safety works
- Provide professional advice and mentor operational staff
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fire/building safety or housing compliance
- Strong knowledge of building and fire safety legislation
- Experience producing Building Safety Case Reports
- Skilled in resident engagement and multi‑disciplinary coordination
- CIOB Level 6 Diploma (or working towards) and relevant H&S qualifications
- Professional memberships (CIOB, IOSH, IFE, IFSM, RICS) desirable
