Neway International are seeking a Team Leader to join our client based with Achieving for Children’s Single Point of Access (SPA) service for Kingston & Richmond.
Location: Guildhall Complex
Hours: 36 per week
Start Date: 26 January 2026
Rate: PAYE £33.89 per hour / Ltd/Umbrella £44.60 per hour
About the Client
Achieving for Children delivers high‑quality social care and early help services across Kingston and Richmond. The Single Point of Access (SPA) is the front door for all safeguarding concerns, referrals, and requests for support, ensuring timely and effective decision‑making for children and families.
The Role
The Team Leader will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Single Point of Access service, ensuring that referrals are triaged, assessed, and progressed in line with statutory guidance and organisational procedures. This is a frontline leadership role requiring strong safeguarding knowledge, decision‑making skills, and the ability to support and guide a busy multi‑disciplinary team.
You will provide professional oversight, manage workflow, and ensure that children and families receive timely, appropriate responses. The role also involves quality assurance, supervision, and supporting staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the SPA team to ensure timely triage and decision‑making on all incoming referrals.
- Providing professional oversight and safeguarding expertise.
- Managing workflow, prioritising risk, and ensuring statutory timescales are met.
- Offering guidance and support to Social Workers and practitioners.

Candidate Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Strong experience in safeguarding, triage, and front‑door services.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within children’s social care.
- Ability to make confident, evidence‑based decisions in high‑pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and multi‑agency partnership skills.
- Ability to work within a CQC‑registered setting (vaccination evidence required).
