Job Opportunity: Driver’s Mate – Community Services
Client: Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council
Location: Vision Products, RCT
Contract: Temporary | 26 October 2025 – 17 January 2026
Hours: 37 hours/week | Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00
Rate: PAYE £12.65/hr | Umbrella/Ltd £16.55/hr
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a reliable and physically capable Driver’s Mate to assist with two-person deliveries of medical aids across the communities of RCT, Bridgend, and Merthyr. This role is essential to ensuring timely and safe delivery of vital equipment to residents in need.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver with loading, unloading, and delivering medical aids.
  • Navigate delivery routes and support safe handling of equipment.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
  • Maintain delivery records and report any issues or delays.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry equipment.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Previous delivery or manual handling experience (desirable).
