The Role
The Cleansing Operative will support the delivery of frontline environmental services, carrying out a range of cleansing duties to maintain public areas across Carmarthenshire. This is a physically active role requiring reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleansing duties across designated areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Operate council vehicles as required to support cleansing operations.
- Work flexibly across shift patterns (07:00–15:00 or 08:00–16:00) depending on service needs.
- Follow health and safety procedures and use equipment safely and appropriately.
- Respond to changing service requirements and support wider cleansing teams as needed.
- Represent the council professionally when working in public spaces.
Candidate Requirements
- Fit and in good general health (essential).
- Living within Carmarthenshire (essential).
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
