We have a new job opening to join our talented and passionate marketing and communications team! We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Marketing and Design Officer to support commercial services with everything content, design, and planning.

What will you do?
The position will see you take a leading role in the marketing of our commercial services across the district. Your work will be diverse, overseeing marketing campaigns from planning through to creation and execution. You will be working with a range of activities and services that all keep the community of Newark and Sherwood running and thriving.
There will also be extra tasks to support the wider Communications and Marketing team, including adhoc marketing activity, design, social media messaging, and PR.
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
You will have experience in a communications or marketing environment—this could be work or education based. You will have experience of working directly with customers or residents, excellent communication and organisational skills, and enjoy working both within a team and using your own initiative. You will also have a GCSE in English at A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.

Ideally, the hours for this role will be worked over three days. One day must be a Tuesday and worked from the District Council offices in Newark. The other two days will be on a Thursday and generally a Friday and will be hybrid working subject to the needs of the business and the successful candidate. There may be some flexibility around this.
