We are looking for a Tenant Engagement Officer, on a temporary basis for up to 12 months, to join our busy and friendly team.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with tenants to strengthen and embed tenant engagement across the Council’s housing services.
  • Actively support involved tenants and help recruit new voices, ensuring that tenants’ experiences, views and scrutiny shape how housing services are designed and delivered.
  • Make tenant engagement meaningful, outcome focused and part of everyday decision-making, ultimately improving services and making a real difference to people’s lives.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with statutory, community and voluntary organisations, alongside colleagues and engagement peers developing approaches that focus on the impact of engagement.
  • Utilise experience in tenant and community engagement, understanding of best practice (including digital involvement), and ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of audiences.
  • Bring resilience, creativity and enthusiasm to empowering tenants to hold the Council accountable.
