We are now recruiting for a Planner to join our well‑respected and valued planning service. You will be joining a team of excellent and welcoming professionals who strive to deliver the best service possible, promoting much‑needed growth alongside securing quality development and communication. The district is rich and varied, whether it be Green Belt, Heritage & Conservation, Town Centres, flood risk, or matters of negotiating development viability and design. In recent years the Council has delivered a raft of regeneration initiatives across Newark, with the Development team playing an important role. We are looking for experienced colleagues to be able to hit the ground running.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will deal with a range of application and appeal types including the ability to mentor and help trainees in the team. The postholder will need to have regular access to a vehicle to enable them to travel within/outside the district to carry out their duties.
