We are looking for an Economic Growth Officer to work with key partners (internal/external) on the delivery of projects/events, delivering agreed outcomes relevant to the economic growth strategy and enhancing the profile of the district. This is a temporary role for maternity cover.

You’ll be out and about across the district, visiting businesses, attending meetings, conducting site visits and championing new initiatives such as our new gift card scheme – so regular access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle is essential.
Educated to degree level and experienced in economic development, you will bring strong knowledge of funding for employment and skills, planning policy and the full inward‑investment journey. With excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues, members, partners and the public, representing the Council professionally, including outside standard hours.
