Cycling New Zealand (CNZ) is seeking a highly capable and principled Selection Focused Manager to oversee the end-to-end athlete selection process across all cycling disciplines. This pivotal role ensures the integrity, fairness, and transparency of our selection systems for all World Championship competitions where CNZ has a published Selection Regulation (Schedule), from initial planning through to final team announcement and communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering selection education and resources for athletes, staff, coaches, and parents.
  • Embedding safeguarding and integrity in every stage of the process.
  • Leading and coordinating all selection panel operations.
  • Managing compliance and appeals procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience in high-performance sport environments, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a strong understanding of selection governance, safeguarding, and athlete welfare. Having a background in legal, quality or auditing would be highly regarded.
