The role | Te tūnga

This role is fixed term for 12 months, based in either Ōtautahi or Pōneke.

Methods and Design provide methodological support and statistical advice to areas throughout the organisation, and the wider data system. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Methods Support & Design, you will be responsible for providing project management support, advice and leadership. You will work collaboratively with senior managers, managers and technical leaders to support them in project delivery and reporting, with a primary focus on Next Census.

This role would suit someone who can bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working in a project delivery environment.
  • A demonstrated track record of successful project delivery.
  • Experience in developing and implementing work plans to meet timeframes, managing risks, dependencies, timelines, reporting, and budgets.
  • Effective communication and ability to convey ideas, expectations and feedback to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to manage unexpected events effectively.
