The role
This permanent, office-based role in Christchurch supports both our office and field-based staff. We are seeking a strong Building Support team to deliver the comprehensive services and assistance needed to maintain our office. This isn’t your typical office setup. Our site is designed to be Agile, enabling staff to move freely and work in the way that suits them best. Your role is to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring everyone can perform at their highest level within the site.
Much of your day will involve face-to-face assistance with staff, resolving issues such as booking and using meeting room technology, ergonomic desk setups, conducting Health & Safety checks, ordering stationery, and assisting with travel bookings. This role is based at Reception, where you’ll be the greeter extraordinaire for visitors and staff. Additionally, you’ll move around the building to ensure all services are set up and running efficiently.
We are seeking a quick learner who is confident in their problem-solving abilities and can effectively address issues as they arise. This individual should engage with the wider team, sharing successes and collaboratively working through challenges. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both staff and building contractors is essential.
This role would suit someone who can bring:
- Experience in a customer service/support role.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite of Software.
- Competence in using technology/savvy enough to work through a process to resolve an issue.
- Experience in facilities management (but not essential as we will train you).
- Awareness of the importance of Health and Safety.
- Demonstrate a willingness to upskill and increase your cultural capability.
