We\’re currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help out our busy and dedicated kitchen team on a casual basis.
Duties include:
- Washing dishes and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Assisting with the preparation of lunch and dinner for residents.
- Assisting with food preparation and service.
- Following hygiene and safety procedures.
Your great organisational skills will see you play a vital role in preparing quality meals on time, supporting the operations of our secure residence.
Key requirements of the role include:
- Must be available to work on Mondays and Fridays(occasional weekend shifts required).
- Flexibility to work extra shifts during the week if needed.
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
- Must have NZQA Food Safety & Hygiene Unit Standards 167 and 168.
- Ability to work independently when required is an advantage, but not essential.
- Must have your own reliable transport.
