The **Manager, People and Operations** is a key management and leadership role in the regional service. The primary purpose of the role is to provide leadership and effective day-to-day operational management for the Regional Operational and Public Health Specialist team to deliver strategic, policy and operational priorities to enable the realisation of Pae Ora.**About the Team/Service/ Location**The NPHS sits within Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora and works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people\’s health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.**About you**You are an experienced public health leader with proven experience of building capability and lifting performance of a multi-disciplinary team/unit. You will be able to deliver on programmes of work in a complex environment and be involved in developing and implementing effective group strategies.* Demonstrated Operational management experience of at least 3 years* Experience in Financial management* Experience in Clinical management highly desired* Experience in leading change, and service and quality improvement initiatives* Experience in applying critical thinking, using sound judgment to develop options and the machinery of government* Proven supervision, mentoring, coaching and teaching skills* Demonstrable understanding and experience working in partnership with Pacific communities**Working for Health New Zealand**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
