WROC/RochesterFirst is hiring a Broadcast Maintenance Technician to join our award-winning team. With the credibility and strength of our 75-year trusted brand, WROC/RochesterFirst is Rochester, NY’s universal local source for news, weather, and information across all platforms.
Salary: $37,000-$40,000
Requirements:
- The Maintenance Engineer must be able to stand for long periods, sit, reach, climb ladders, conduct telephone conversations, and use electronic mail.
- They will make decisions without supervision and work closely with others.
- This position will sometimes work outdoors in all weather conditions and sometimes work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
- The Maintenance Engineer must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 40 pounds, and be able to work with their hands and handle tools or controls.
- Repetitive movements are sometimes required.
Experience:
- Technical Degree in Engineering, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must be versatile and able to adapt to constantly evolving systems and devices.
- Experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environment preferred.
- Fluency in English; strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Preferred experience with Ross Video XPression and OverDrive.
