Position Overview:
Elevation Recruitment are delighted to once again be partnering with New York Bakery, a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo. Grupo Bimbo is a multinational baking company with over 100,000 employees across 35 different countries and one of the largest baking companies in the world. Their continued success is due to strategic acquisitions, their extended product range and portfolio of well-known brands, and their commitment to sustainability and innovation. The Grupo Bimbo operation in Rotherham is part of Grupo Bimbo’s extensive global network and plays a pivotal role in producing baked goods for the UK and European markets. The Procurement Specialist will work in a team of three to support regional Category Managers and the UK Head of Procurement, gaining valuable insights and structured development to progress their career, while also taking advantage of a market-leading benefits package and remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary voice for the business, collaborating with the Regional Sourcing group to customise category strategies that align with business needs.
- Lead the communication of approved sourcing strategies, key market insights, supplier capabilities, cost trends, and forecasts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
- Drive the implementation of approved sourcing strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage projects related to changes in product offerings, including new product introductions, discontinuations, and adjustments to specifications or performance, ensuring adherence to critical timelines.
- Provide Supply Management best practice support to plant material supply coordinators, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalation of supplier-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor and contribute to the supplier performance management process, escalating any ongoing performance or supply risk issues to the Regional Sourcing Team.
Essential skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related business field.
- Previous experience in a procurement role within FMCG / Food Manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for efficient decision-making.
- Skilled in project management, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
- Proficient in MS Office and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence others, and manage conflicts.
- Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to a dual reporting structure.

- Clearly defined volume forecasts for use in planning and budget savings captured.
